In India and Turkmenistan in particular, camel wool is used in the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fleece can also be collected by hand, by plucking the fibres that fall out during the change of seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In North Africa, there are wool-producing breeds. A two-year-old camel can produce three kilograms of fleece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hair of young dromedaries is highly prized for its superior quality compared to that of adult animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camel wool resembles cashmere; its fine fibre is more difficult to spin than sheep&rsquo;s wool because it is much smoother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Skin parasites such as sarcoptic mange can affect the quality and quantity of wool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After shearing, the fleece must be cleaned and degreased before it can be spun and made into clothing, blankets, carpets and decorative items<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CAMEL MILK<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camel milk is of interest to scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is rich in nutrients and contains proteins, fats and carbohydrates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is rich<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in vitamins (A, B1, B2, B12, C, D, E)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in essential fatty acids (omega 3 and omega 6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and in immunoglobins (antibodies that strengthen the immune system).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also contains antibacterial and antiviral substances that give it medicinal properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has anti-inflammatory properties due to its fatty acids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Camel milk is easier to digest than cow&rsquo;s milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In cosmetics, it is also valued for its moisturising and nourishing properties for the skin thanks to its fatty acid and vitamin content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"461\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-461x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1882\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-461x1024.jpg 461w, https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-135x300.jpg 135w, https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-768x1707.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-691x1536.jpg 691w, https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-922x2048.jpg 922w, https:\/\/www.chegaga-berber-camp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/20250223_162823-scaled.jpg 1152w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHAMELON HAIR Camel shearing is rarely practised except in Asia.
