C&rsquo;est parce que les troupeaux des ma\u00eetres sont tomb\u00e9s au bord du puits ass\u00e9ch\u00e9, c&rsquo;est parce que le vent chaud a br\u00fbl\u00e9 les herbes que j&rsquo;ai pu partir et que personne n&rsquo;a pu me suivre. Et aujourd&rsquo;hui encore, c&rsquo;est quand les pluies tombent, quand le vert s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur les \u00e9tendues sahariennes, quand enflent les bosses des chameaux et engraissent les moutons que j&rsquo;ai le coeur triste. Parce que sous chaque herbe, je vois dessin\u00e9s les contours sombres de ma dure jeunesse.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Puis il \u00e9voque avec un autre personnage Bechir, le choix de rester<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0\u00bb Que serions-nous devenus si les vents du d\u00e9sert nous avaient \u00e9parpill\u00e9s ? Mes nomades tendraient aujourd&rsquo;hui d&rsquo;une main \u00e9maci\u00e9e des s\u00e9biles tremblantes aux portes des mosqu\u00e9es; ils habiteraient des masures de carton et de t\u00f4les dans les p\u00e9riph\u00e9ries crasseuses des nouvelles cit\u00e9s. Ma grande mission fut et reste de rester, de s&rsquo;arc-bouter \u00e0 ce coin du vide et continuer \u00e0 y cr\u00e9er la vie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover is-light\"><img
